Access to basic hygiene should never be a struggle. Recently, the Student Welfare Division of SRC in collaboration with Blood Sanitary Pads, distributed over 1200 packs to both students and staff. MMU SRC President Darren John Led 100 Students in Developing a Resolution Supporting Lonjakan: Keunggulan Global Under the Rancangan Pendidikan Tinggi Malaysia (RPTM) at the Makmal & Dialog Kemenjadian Mahasiswa The session brought together diverse student perspectives to align with Malaysia’s broader goals for global competitiveness in higher education. Under his coordination, the discussion focused on strengthening initiatives that support international exposure, academic standards, and graduate readiness. The resulting resolution was formally presented to Zambry Abd Kadir, Minister of Higher Education @zambryabdkadir , and Adam Adli Abd Halim, Deputy Minister of Higher Education @adamadli_ , along with senior officials from the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) @mohe.official . This reflects MMU’s constructive engagement in national-level policy discussions. This initiative highlights MMU’s continued participation in advancing global aspirations within higher education, while demonstrating collaborative contributions from GLU institutions in supporting Malaysia’s long-term objectives. MMU SRC proudly participated in the Makmal & Dialog Kemenjadian Mahasiswa 🇲🇾 This historic national platform gathered 981 student leaders from Public Universities (IPTA), Private Higher Education Institutions (IPTS), Polytechnics, and Community Colleges — symbolising the collective voice of higher education students across Malaysia. Through transparent and constructive dialogue, six critical resolutions were presented, addressing graduate employability, cost of living, digitalisation of education, mental well-being, leadership development, and global mobility. These discussions contribute meaningfully to the ongoing development of the Rancangan Pendidikan Tinggi Malaysia (RPTM) and the broader direction of Malaysia’s higher education agenda. The MMU SRC delegation, headed by President Darren John, represented MMU at the national level and actively contributed to these important conversations. We extend our sincere appreciation to the Minister of Higher Education, Zambry Abd Kadir @zambryabdkadir , and the Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Adam Adli Abd Halim @adamadli_ , as well as the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) @mohe.official , Majlis Perundingan Pelajar Kebangsaan (MPPK) @officialmppk , and Yayasan Perkasa Siswa @perkasasiswa for providing this meaningful platform for student voices to be heard at the national level. MMU SRC President at Majlis Perundingan Pelajar Kebangsaan (MPPK) Elections 2026/2027 🇲🇾 MMU SRC President Darren John participated in the Majlis Perundingan Pelajar Kebangsaan (MPPK) Elections for the 2026/2027 term, held from 12–14 February 2026. The platform serves as an important national forum that brings together student representatives from across Malaysia to strengthen and elevate the collective student voice at the national level, supported by the Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi (KPT). We would like to congratulate President Darren John on his appointment as Eksekutif Media dan Komunikasi Korporat, reflecting continued leadership and active contribution within the national student ecosystem. We also extend our sincere congratulations to Muhammad Irfan Firdaus Bin Md Fauzi, YDP MPP Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), on being elected as President of MPPK for the 2026/2027 term.
